Rebecca Friedrichs: National Education Association, AKA ‘Education Mafia’, Can’t Hide Its Anti-Child, Anti-Teacher Agenda
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Rebecca Friedrichs, a veteran California public school educator and founder of For Kids & Country, releases this statement responding to National Education Association’s new business items (NBIs) as proposed at this year’s annual meeting:

“This summer’s NEA convention broke no new ground, but it did certify again that the national teachers union does not represent real teachers, but exploits us. It continues cramming its multi-billion dollar communist agenda down our throats. In fact, the NEA is leading on open borders, LGBTQ+ initiatives in public-schools like drag-queen story hours and pronoun requirements, lying to parents, and the rest of it.
“Ditto for … you name it – gun control, packing the Supreme Court, and lambasting conservatives as ‘fascist thugs’.
“But how about the basics of a solid education, for kids? Reading? Math? Nahhhhh. Hard working American teachers like me who toil away in the fever swamps of union-run public schools care deeply about educating kids. But to the NEA, kids and teachers are just a means to union ends.
“Though the NEA sells itself as ‘the largest democratic deliberative body in the world,’ it’s restricting access to its NBI actions and votes so that most teachers cannot examine them. No surprise. But thanks to a brave educator, we have a copy to share with you.
“Keeping its intentions under wraps says a lot about the NEA, and its exploitation of teachers.
“Unions – more aptly named the education mafia – have picked our pockets, exploited our profession, ravaged our students, and dismantled our once great educational system all while selling the American public a narrative full of loaded language, misinformation, distortions and outright lies.”
